I also just placed an order on amazon.com for a Samsung Epic 4G.  After leaving Sprint two years ago and having T-Mobile as my main carrier, I’m abandoning their horrible 3G coverage (and overall service coverage) and their lack of high-quality phones.  I held on hoping that the G2 would be something, somewhat awesome but it just doesn’t stack up.  4-row keyboard, 3.7-inch screen… eh.  HSDPA+ means nothing to me when I’m on EDGE half the damn time right now.  I’m going to go and assume that the coverage won’t be any better.  So as much as I hate Sprint’s customer service, they got the phone and I am going where the phone is!  I’m hoping I’ll get it on the first shipment; Amazon had it $50 bucks cheaper than everyone else, but there’s a gamble in not getting it right away.  But for $50 bucks, I can wait a couple of weeks to a few months, whatever happens.
